If you are requesting service for new construction of your home or business or if there is not a meter at the location where electrical service is needed, contact a New Construction Representative. Representatives are available Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm at 405 619-6500 or 800-380-4363, option 2.

Deposit Statement

I understand I may have a security deposit due within 3 business days from the date service begins. I understand a confirmation email regarding this service initiation request should be forwarded to me by OG&E within 48 hours. If I do not receive the confirmation email, I will contact customer service at 405-272-9741 or 1-800-272-9741, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm to confirm deposit amount and/or due date. Note: Online Contracts are processed during normal business hours and may take up to two business days to work. If your service is off you should contact customer service by phone with your request.

Due to government regulations we have implemented an Identity Theft policy in an effort to detect, prevent and mitigate identity theft for our customers. By filling out the "Authorized By" field, I state that I am the customer of record and that I am not misrepresenting myself by falsely submitting this request. I understand that if a misrepresentation is detected, this service will be denied and appropriate action taken (such as disconnection of service without prior notice, denial to stop service or change/update information, etc.)

NOTE: Oklahoma residents will be billed a $25 Service Initiation Fee on all new accounts.  In addition, a security deposit may be required for Oklahoma and Arkansas residents.


Information for Arkansas New Applicants Only

Security Deposit
If you are required to pay a deposit, half of the deposit is due with your first bill and the remaining half is due with the second bill on the due date.

Waiving Security Deposit Options:

  1. 3rd Party Guarantee - A written guaranty of a qualified 3rd party to pay an amount equal to the deposit on an OG&E account. If the customer qualifies to act as a guarantor we will send the guaranty agreement to the guarantor to complete and return to OG&E.

    If you have a 3rd Party Guarantor (a current OG&E Arkansas residential customer), please contact the guarantor and provide them with your OGE account number (you will receive an email from us with your new account number). Request that the guarantor call OGE Customer Service at 1-800-272-9741 Monday-Friday 8am-5pm to request that a guarantor form be mailed.


  2. Letter of Credit - We can only accept a letter of credit from another gas or electric company. To be eligible to waive the deposit, the Letter of Credit must show twelve months of service within the past eighteen months and have no more than two late payments, no returned checks, no disconnects for non-payment.

Special Provisions
If you are 65 years of age or older, or handicapped, or if you make less than $12,000 per year annually you qualify for special provisions on your account. Please contact customer service at 405-272-9741 or 1-800-272-9741, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm for more information. If you meet the criteria above you are qualified for the following options:

  • We will take additional steps to contact you before we ever shut off service for non-payment.
  • You may qualify for your original due date to be extended up to a maximum of 9 calendar days if you receive 1 or more of the following:
    • Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC)
    • Social Security
    • VA benefits
    • Supplemental Security Income
    • Aid to the Aged, Blind & Disabled (AABD)
